Первая презентация Chevrolet Camaro состоялась 26 сентября 1966 года, с целью создания конкуренции сверх популярному и захватившему большой сектор рынка Ford Mustang. Проектировался Camaro как новый автомобиль, но, тем не менее, в нем прижились узлы и компоненты от Chevellet Corvair и даже легендарного Corvette. С тех дней, когда начиналась история Camaro, многое изменилось, oднако страсть, объединяющая любителей управлять стремительной машиной на автострадах, не подвластна времени. Уже пятое десятилетие автомобиль Camaro приковывает внимание любителей спортивного транспорта. Сейчас популярность спорткара только возросла благодаря фильму «Трансформеры».
